Russian Compound, Jerusalem, The Guard House

Documentation and preservation of the Guard House building in the Russian Compound in Jerusalem. The project is part of the new Bezalel campus. The building served as the prison superintendent’s offices as well as guards rest room during the British mandate period. Conservation of the building and its integration into the entrance to the Bezalel campus was done in coordination with the Ministry of Defense, the owners of the building, and with the management of the nearby museum of the underground prisoners.
